I'm Baaaaaaaaaaack!

Ok...I totally suck and have been MIA for two weeks. My apologies to the few people that actually read my blog. I have no good excuses other than I've been sucked into a totally addicting game.....POGO Scrabble! It's a terrible waste of my time, but sure enough I play it at least 2 - 3 times a day and each game can last about a half hour or so. Man, oh, Man...the minutes I am wasting throughout the day. I'm hoping to scale down my new addiction to be able to blog more, maybe even do the laundry and clean the house too...crazy idea, I know.
I've also been reading some absolutely amazing blogs! I plan to add them to my blog roll but definitely want to give a specific one a shout out here.

This MckMama is an amazing person and is dealing with her son's, Stellan, heart condition. She is inspiring and I find myself stalking her blog (and Twitter) repeatedly throughout the day to see how Stellan is doing. Please check her out, you won't be sorry!

Wordless Wednesday

I love it when little boys squat down like that, contemplating life or maybe they're just contemplating their next plan of attack!
Here's a teaser for you.... come back Sunday for Weekly Winners to see what this little boy thinks of a worm.

10 Things

I was really struggling with what to write about tonight. We had a great day today, we went to the park, enjoyed a picnic lunch then took the little one to his swim lessons...basically normal mom stuff that we're all familiar with. I googled blog prompts and found a good tool over at creativity portal called an Imagination Prompt Generator. To be honest, I'm a feeling a little bit lazy tonight so I scrolled though LOTS of the prompts until I found one that I was willing to attempt. The prompts were great, although some were very meaningful and deep and I just didn't quite have that in me tonight. So, what did we settle on......

10 things I've always wanted to do that I haven't done (YET)

1. Go to Australia. Ever since the 2000 Sydney Olympics, that country has been calling my name. I can't put my finger exactly on why, but it's like a magnet pulling me in. I really hope one day I can say I've ventured down under.

2. Speaking of Olympics, I've always wanted to go. I'm a sports junky, regardless of the sport, if there are people competing, I'm totally into it. The stories behind Olympic athletes amaze and inspire me. To devote your life to any sport for as long as they do is a true accomplishment. (On a exciting note, my dream of going to the Olympics will come true at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics as my tickets have already been purchased....Watch out Canada, here I come, eh)

3. Go up in a hot air balloon with just my hubby. I just want to enjoy the scenery and the peace and quiet from up above. I used to want to sky dive, but after having my son I figured a hot air balloon might be a tad safer ;)

4. Go whale watching. This is probably one of the easiest things to achieve as I live within a couple hours of a few touring companies...it's just getting my butt over there and finding time to do it.

5. I want to learn how to be crafty. In reality, you probably have to inherit that skill rather than "learn" it, but I'll give it a shot. I tried scrap booking a few times, but what I visualize in my head is never what surfaces on the paper. Would love to try quilting some day too.

6. Road Trip USA. I think it would be fun to rent a RV and spend a few weeks touring all the states. Most likely this would have to wait until I had teenagers so that I could torture them with an educational vacation. Cause really, what teenager doesn't love RVing with his parents. :)

7. Take a photography course. Right now, I only have a point and shoot camera because I honestly wouldn't know what to do with a manual. I would love to be taught how to use it correctly because I often lurk on other's blogs and revel in their beautiful photos.

8. Have another baby. We've been so blessed with our son and I'm so ready to add another child to our family and I can only hope that it comes sooner rather than later.

9. Have some sort of successful home business. I would love to be able to find a way to work at home, on my own schedule, so that I could enjoy the best of both worlds....being a stay at home mom and helping to support my family.

10. To go to the Super Bowl! My hubby and I are HUGE football fans and to be able to go to a the big game would be a dream come true for both of us. Now, if we could some how manage to get the 49ers vs. Steelers....we'd be there in a heartbeat.

So, don't be shy, let me know something that you want to do but haven't done....YET!
